[#1322625]

Now had 4 punctures in 4 rides.

Using Michelin krylion carbons and done about 1200 miles on them.

Only had 1 puncture before the current run of bad luck.

So what is THE best tyre for avoiding punctures?

Needs to be 23mm and don't care about weight as its only for the winter bike.

Many thanks.

Schwalbe Marathon Plus but not sure they go below 25mm.

specialised one. can't remember the full name but it's an armadillo. ride quality is terrible though.
a conti four season or maxxis refuse would be a good compramise. kryolins are good tyres but don't have any puncture protection.

I'm liking my Conti GP4 seasons - quick grippy and tough

I think you mean the All Condition Armadillo and I can vouch for the dreadful ride they give. I bought them to replace some increasingly puncture prone Roubaix tyres and also to give me more clearance on the frame but I'm considering swapping back, they feel terrible!

just bought another michelin krylion carbon because i think there good tyres. Mine have been pretty puncture resistant so far. Its like anything though, now and again no matter how good they are something goes wrong occasionally
