Anything from a Hero 2 up or equivalent.. A friend is in the Paras and is part of the 70th anniversary of D-Day parachute jump over the original DZ. Understandable he wants to capture the moment on film. And other uses thereafter.
He only really wants to spend around the £100 mark...

For something that important/one off I'm sure somebody would lend him one. I reckon if he talked to his bosses go-pro would probably lend them some in exchange for some of the video!
Edit- My point was I'd be wanting the best quality footage especially if it was happening in low light etc. and if they could equip a few of the guys it would look even better.
