I use CV grease from Halfords.

I use a small amount of white lithium grease where they slot into the freehub body. It's not very tacky so doesn't slow down their operation.

Comes with Mobil 222 as standard, it's an EP (extreme pressure)grease, ideally use something with a similar rating.

Anything really, as above just don't use too much to stop the pawls from engaging. I actually find a good squirt of float fluid is just as good and the re-engagement feels crisper.

This...but then float fluid is gear oil which is good stuff to use.

My latest pro 2 sounds a lot quieter than my first (hope hoops v JRA builds), and I presume this is due to the amount of grease used? Taking them apart, there certainly seemed more Grease in the pawls of the former if not the ratchets.

Most grease gets too thick and sticky when it's freezing cold hence the reason to use gear oil

I've been using Float Fluid in my Hope XC and it definitely has better pickup and less slipping. Its been in there for about 4 or 5 months. Must have look at it and see how much is still in there.

I use marine pump grease, make sthem silent and doesnt stick up the pawls, even when below zero.

I use oil as I prefer it quieter and I've had sticky/freezing issues with grease. Only downside with oil is it needs re-done more frequently, but the noise tells you when to do it and its a quick easy job if you have the tools to whip the cassette off.

I used a wee bit of slick honey last time, seems to quiet it a little without causing any engagement issues.
