[#774796]

Just finished editing a short video of a small section of riding in Hebden, The singletrack is amazing there and I have only managed to capture one trail, I'd interested to hear your feedback.

On there are a few more videos.

Thanks.

If you up the butress at the back of The hole
in the wall pub, when you get to the top, turn left then there is a short section of about 50m uphill, there is a turning right and take left of that onto a track, carry on along their until you reach a clearing on the left is the start of Tron. It a really fun trail to start off a ride. I did some work exprience with singletrack and so got to borrow some of the bikes.:-)

Hi John, what camera were you using for that? Looked really nice!

It's Dom :-), the camera is a canon powershot compact camera, it's got 10 mgpixels, but I find that it is really good at getting nice tones and contrast even in difficult situations. I am upgrading to a nikon d90 as it features a HD movie Mode
a I can swap lenses, at the same time being able to carry on with my photography. Btw
taka, Tron is just the name I got told when riding with the guy from the mag, so it mght be just one that they use, but yes I hav heard it being referred to ask hole 't' wall :-).

Sorry John, er Dom ๐Ÿ˜‰ I've used a Powershot before, but didn't realise it did such nice quality video. Which one is it? The G10? I might be tempted to get something similar to replace my compact.

I'm afraid its only available in the US i think as that is where i bought it and i can't find it on any UK sites. this is a link to the Canon US site product view: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=145&modelid=16722
i would call it a compact, for alot of my shots i use either a tripod or my steady hand, as i say, in about a weeks time i will have the Nikon D90, i will put out some more vids on here sooon, once i have shot some stuff on there as there is amazing depth of field because i have a range of nikon interchangable lenses. ๐Ÿ™‚ should be fun.

I like the D90's video. Just keep the shots steady, it's scanning technique makes things a bit weird and jelly -like especially in panning. I've also found that there is a limitation in the duration of footage it can shoot, with the ccd being protected once it reaches a certain temperature.
Shoots ok stills too.

Very nicely put together. Certainly makes me want to ride there!

Can't see the vid from work but if its the trail I'm thinking about (pops out by the main road at the bottom of Beechnuts-ish) then it is brilliant. Especially if you come down Midgets Pit and join on near the top.

Thanks for everyones comments, I am going to study film production at Uni next year, so in the next couple of months I should have new vids on there at least once a
month, and I will put up a post on here about it:-)

I thought you said that was Tron when we got to the top of it, although we did do quite a few trails so I probably got confused ๐Ÿ™‚

We never tell people the truth about what we're riding. Misinformation is the key.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I liked the vid soo much that I rode there yesterday afternoon. Just as I put the bike back into the car the blue sky vanished and rain arrived! ๐Ÿ™‚

Darn Mooch though. What gives, shutting on Tuesdays?

Enjoyed that, i've been doing a bit of that self filming stuff myself, this was my effort last week.

[url=

If i could offer any constructive criticism, a proper tripod would help so that all the shots aren't looking up from the ground, and try and take the camera further away from the trail so we can see you riding for longer. I've just bought a panasonic TS1 with HD video for helmet cam/bike filming duties, its sitting at my desk now and i still have 3 hours before i can get home and play with it ๐Ÿ˜ก
