Is there really much of a difference, except price when you compare 2 rims the ssame but one is welded, and one 'pinned?
Are the welded ones stronger? OR lighter?

the pinned join isn't as strong as a full strength weld. if the weld is as strong as the rest of the rim is up for debate but on a good rim it should be close.
whether it matters to you, is whether that big BANG when you lump you rim on a rock is whether you impact the joint or not 👿
