[Closed] What clean lined hardtail? (Inspiration thread)

The genesis latitude copying the Shan 917 but not doing it anywhere near as well.

They both look ****ing awful. Slack head angled hardtails in garish colours. With long forks, dropper posts and massive cassettes. Plus one of those stupid seat tube braces. The preserve of the middle aged chubber in a fox racing t shirt, waddling round a trail centre.

That Niner OTOH; looks mint.

@ Davidtaylforth I think they both look great but the Shan wins for me. Beautiful colour scheme but not really clean. No bike with suss forks and gears can look clean.

Mate is racing a Saracan this year, looks ace.
Scott hard tails look ok
Saw the new Bluepig at Inners today, looks a lot better than my mk1 which couldn't be difficult ๐Ÿ™„

Last time there was a thread like this there were some excellent, well photographed bikes posted.

This is so far mainly a "post what you ride that you took a photo with from your phone" collection.

Where all the pristine press shots at!

I love the P7 and the Ritchey but my Soul is a kick-ass clean lined machine.

Done.

The Niner and the Shand look lovely (and that comes from a Solaris owner)

My mate got a custom steel ht from small town boy, it's a cracker, moJo nicolai type geometry and awesomely finished in raw lacquer. Only cost him 450 IIRC.

I like bikes that tuck the caliper inside the rear triangle. And I like the integrated seat clamp - very clean.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, but I do think this looks ace.

Obviously it is a rip-off of the Shan 917, but that was a rip-off of a car!

My ideal colour scheme on a hardtail would be the half and half of the NS Eccentric but with a glossy chocolate brown on the upper half and the orange from the gulf colour scheme on the bottom. So there!

Of the above I think the niner has it, ahead of the Shand, which to my eye is let down by the hose/cable routing. Course if I had a decent digital photo of my old Dekerf Team SL.....

Santa Cruz Highball Carbon in hardtail mode. Cable routing IMO lets it down for 'clean lined', but still...

I'd show you mine but it's late and the technology is being obstructive.

Doesn't exactly meet the OP's requirements, and as it's turned into a post what you like kinda thread, I think the lines are pretty clean n' smooth on this.

Oh and that thing with the Gold Enve wheels is gopping

Since we're pretty much just posting pics of our own hardtails, which I am totally ok with.

If you can imagine away the rack and crud-guards then SS, rigid + internal frame & fork routing keep this quite clean looking.

Daffy that Niner is one of the cleanest bikes on the thread, but what's it for? World's most aesthetically-pleasing commuter?

A mate turned up on the latest weekly ride on one of those new Charge Cooker Maxis. Quite a nice looking bike in the flesh. A bit like how the Orange P7 used to look.
