Being honest, the majority of my riding is commuting, seconded by road, with the odd muddy fest thrown in!
Essentially I'm on the lookout for the 'perfect' jacket for road/commuting, and I fear it may not exist - herin you lot can help!
At the mo I use a cheapo but fairly adequate karrimor bright orange fabricy jacket (feels twin layered). It's windproof, not really waterproof, and packs down quite large (too big to stuff away in a bag).
I'm after something that is:
-thin (it's for wind/water proofing, not to keep me warm)
-bright orange/yellow (safety first kids)
-water proof (or as much as it can be and still be comfortable - 100% plastic is too hot)
-not too hot
- packs down real small - sort of stuff away and forget style.
I think this'll cost more that my £17 sprots direct one, but am willing to consider up to the £100ish mark, as it'll be a 'do the job right' type affair!
Any suggestions that would fit the bill?
Web links would be much appreciated, ta!

Montane Velocity DT. You can probably get one for about £70.

Cheers, will have a peek and try one on for size, if I can find a real store that sells them!
