Matey at work is looking for an XC 29er on the Cyclescheme. He's already got a FS so fancies a general XC HT for knocking around the doors, mebbe with 130mm travel.
Any ideas?

I believe MBR christened it 'ballsy xc'. 🙂

Either go 100mm with an almost flat fat tyre or wait for the genre to expand.

Err...well thats why I'm asking. I know nowt about 29ers (ovbiously) & ride 26" jobs with 140 & 130 travel. So why don't you get bigger travel 29ers then?

You do.
Yelli with a 140 fork. Not for £1100 though.

He'd get a nice fork, headset & a stem / bars for that if he wanted 130mm.

Otherwise I'd wager the giant mentioned, a trek or a specialized may be the way forwards
