Depends whether you want a tapered steerer or not. Great deal on non tapered Bombers from hucknroll/chainlove in the states. Good deal on tapered Rebas from on-one, but otherwise yep, f29s. The new 120/140 revelations don't seem to be available yet, but will probably be a good alternative when they arrive. That's what I'm holding out for having missed the boat on 140 tapered Bombers.

Them tapered rebas from on one at £299 are tempting me atm...

But the f120's are lush on the soul so might go fox...

Not yet. Waiting for the new Cotic before probably giving it a go.

I'd get the Fox 34 110 - 140 TALAS.

You sure you need 120mm travel ? I have some maxle Reba Teams & it seems like lots of travel. Too much if I'm honest, for my Inbred anyway. Going to stick with rigids.
Probably me but having tried the same bike as 26", fork travel feels longer on the bigger wheeled bike.

Received my 120mm 44's from HucknRoll this week & for the money they are a bargain (£340 for the Micro Ti's delivered inc duties).

Wouldn't bother with Fox's or Rockshox as i think they are way over priced but each to their own 😕

The damping and small bump compliance on the 44s makes even the Reba with Black Box feel a little lame. Not tries a Fox, but for the price they charge, they would have to be something pretty special!

hugor - why ?

I unashamedly ride lots of trail centres in the winter months and most round my way (South Wales) have very long climbs to the top followed by equally long descents.
A TALAS is perfect for that.
For general undulating trail riding however I have found TALAS forks not very useful. Its not very practicle to continually change them on the fly.

yeah - i need the 120mm - the frame, nicolai helius ac 29er demands a 120mm fork minimum to keep the geom spot on.

hugor - fair point. the bike will be used sporadically at trail centres. i've had talas before and use it sufficient to justify it. i'm just worried the additional 20mm is overkill and the added weight of the 34mm chassis is what i'm aiming away from on this particular build........
