[Closed] What 26" hardtail under £1000

Hi all,

I'm looking at a cycle 2 work scheme bike, looking for something to replace my 13 year old Azonic DS 1 (!) which needs to be retired before something fails catastrophically.

We were limited to Evans Cycles, and it seems you can't really buy a 26" hardtail from them any more. WHERE HAVE ALL THE NORMAL BIKES GONE?

Anyway, looks like the scheme has opened up to other bike shops. Any recommendations? I'm 6', like a lively bike so will be getting the smallest frame I can still pedal without knee damage. My other bike is an 18" Patriot from 2007 which does the more gnarly duties.
