Hi all,

Managed to snap my Formula axle on my Meta today (this one: http://www.commencal-store.co.uk/PBSCProduct.asp?ItmID=10484474)
Looks like the inner axle snapped, so the cam and lever came away. No easy way to bodge it I don't think.

So looking for a replacement, as cheap as possible, but as soon as possible too.

Not sure if I want to replace like for like (seeing as I just snapped it trying to do it back up without too much effort), plus it would take a while to arrive from Europe.

Another option is a Maxle, but they are pretty pricey (£50!);

So, any other options people can recommend?

Ta, Duane.

No I've not got one 😉

Got my maxle for about £42 from bike discount.de, arrived within 3 days

(Edit now £45 due to exchange rate)

When I've ordered from commencal store it's aways been quick delivery 3-4days, postage is the killer though, not cheap

Do you know which 142x12 axle system it is? There are 3 which I'm aware of, Syntace/DT Swiss, Shimano and now Sram/Maxle do a version. Can't find on the Commencal website which design they use. Don't know anything about the Sram/Maxle version, but definitely the Syntace/DT Swiss and Shimano 142x12 axle/drop-out systems are not the same design.

No idea to be honest! I have ordered a Maxle Lite though, so hopefully that fits!

If anyone has any cheaper suggestions please shout out, as CRC do free returns!
