Had enough of the flimsy clutch retainer thingy snapping on my XT rear mech. Which 10 speed mech can I buy that wont do this?
Needs to cope with 2 x 10

Why is the part snapping? I've an XT clutch mech and it's been fine for the 15 months I've had it.

Xt back plates are pretty lightweight and thinner than slx to save weight. Slx all day mate.

They have a small part inside them that is ridiculously thin and week. That's about the length of time since my previous snappage so your overdue ๐Ÿ˜‰

Eeek!

TBH I've occasionally run the mech with the clutch off (usually after I've had the wheel out for whatever reason and forgotten to reset it) and not noticed any difference either in changing gear or in dropped chains. I'm on a hardtail BTW.

SLX if 2x10 or 1x10 go for a zee. My other half blew up his zee first ride when he set it up on a double (I did warn him!)
