I saw a policenman talking to some guys in a van. What are the national trust up to? Is it just the parking or are they trying to get rid of the DH?
Wasnt up there yesterday but ride up there 2 or 3 times a week. IMHO they should stop vehicles driving down the new fire road towards the gibbett. Too many walkers with kids and dogs for it to be safe. They should park where everyone else does and ride to the downhill trails. They should have a voluntary closure of the BOAT's really as the moto cross bikes are a pain.
Why do people have to drive down there? Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the NT tried to stop, or at least limit, the downhill runs. There are quite a few lines now and more are being added all the time. Doesn't help that they all cross footpaths, so could cause conflict as the area has become increasingly busy with walkers, now the old A3 has been closed.
