Froome just got 'bertie'd' in the criterium, wonder if he's now thinking about wiggo's 'engine' for pace into the hills etc
You fail to mention that Froome had a big crash yesterday which would have effected his ride today
Crash or no crash IF and it is a big IF wiggo could play the team game I really think they need his power in the tdf
No matter how much you like wiggo you cannot think he would help when Bertie accelerated.
He would have ensured that the pace up until the attack by beef boy was higher and therefore the attack less violent.
No but i think he would have carried the pace to that point a little higher, which would make the attack that much more difficult

I don't think Froome will be that gutted, Tinkov will have to try and defend the jersey tomorrow and Sky can go on the attack. Should be good to watch.
I think Team Sky did a great job for Froome today and don't think Wiggins would have added much. Tomorrow will be interesting for sure.
Besides for a rider claiming to be in the same form as 2012 Wiggins didn't exactly set the Tour De Suisse alight today did he? Can't help thinking that interview with the BCC was more to do with PR and image than a desire to ride the Tour.

Froome will have upped his "medication" before the tour, so it'll be much harder for Bertie and co to ride away from him!
