Had maxxis tyres before totally pleased with performance, tr tubeless ready icon and ardent. One started to weep a little but only after a lot of use, you could see the threads on sidewall. Anyway so pleased with performance I went straight for a high roller and aggressor. Under 4month old and the aggressor weeps really really badly yet the high roller nothing . Apparently same side walls etc. Tempted to send back as not fit for purpose but then I have no bike to use. Using stans, what I don't get is the fluid is supposed to seal holes, so why does it not seal all the micro holes it is weeping from. Would another brand of sealant work better at sealing. My other thought is riding a bit harder these days . Not huge air but the odd 4ft drop, jump , bunny hop etc. Is the landing forcing the fluid out. Up till now tire choice was easy just go maxxis but not sure I can buy with same confidence any more from them . It seems like luck if you get a good tyre or not. But reading around seems no brand is immune. I don't think I am hardcore enough or want the weight penalty of dh double wall tyres.

Some tyres weep, it doesn’t really mean anything. Ignoring it and cracking on would be my favourite option

I think they all do that, sir.

I've got a pair of Conti Trail King 2.2s, one weeps but the other doesn't. A pair of Kenda K-Rads on my trundling wheels, the front'll stay up for ages off the bike but the back goes down- it's sealed well enough cos a few blasts on the pump has air in it and rideable again and will stay up as long as it's being used regularly. Meh.

I find that my Maxxis tyres weep in the warmer months.

Seems it's to be expected

It does seem weather dependent, but oddly not dependent on the same weather, as I've seen some tyres do it when its warm but others sweat* much more when its cold.

*I like to think they are sweating from hard work rather than weeping because they are sad 🙂

I've got spesh  tyres on my Solaris and they used to sweat loads but not so much now.

Maybe I need to top the sealant up.....

Stans Race sealant seems to be much less leaky on my Nobby Nics than the regular Stans stuff.

I have never had a tyre weep and have used Maxxis, wtb, continental and Schwalbe. If the sidewall is porous then I would say its faulty or a manufacturing defect. Unless you have scuffed the sidewall?

The Maxxis tyres on my bike have been weeping a lot in this glorious weather we’ve been having. I’ve just ignored it to be honest. Part of me is tempted to  slap them around and yell MTFU at them.

4 Maxxis EXO tyres, 2 Specialized Grid tyres, 1 Schwalbe Snakeskin tyre and out of that lot 2 of the Maxxis weep, DHR2 and DHF 3c Max Terra EXO. The DHR2 started first, now the DHF is too. Stans sealant.
