I had a cheeky afternoon off work yesterday and headed to Gradbach. Very nice too, the way is shut! by a fallen tree.

Where are you off? or post up your pics!

Have a good one.

I had 3-4 hours planned out on the Whyte, up to Checkendon the some woods, Wallingford and then to home. Instead I've got 2 hours + on Zwift starting soon as it's raining lots, all day!

Busy this weekend with family commitments but managed to get a ride in yesterday from Ambleside. No photos as in true Lakes style it was lashing down all day. Was great.

Had a 30km bimble round Surrey Hills this morning.

Rain overnight didn't help but it wasn't as boggy as I expected.

Discovered some new bits, set a PR from Peaslake to the top of Holmbury hill by chasing some roadies! 👍

Demo'ed a Bird Aeris 120 round Swinley, rode there last weekend in the snow so was a vast improvement and loved the bike!

No pics, but we had a brill bimble up to South Shields (about a 40 mile round trip) today. Cheese butty and a pint of Moretti for dinner with a couple of small Morettis on the way home. I'm one G&T in and OH is nailing a sambal together at the minute and the clocks go forward tonight! What a smashing day 🙂

My birthday weekend so went to hamsterley yesterday, got there to find out my brakes need a bleed before they would be deemed safe in any way shape or form, so just played in accelerator, practicing deathgrip...

degla today day which was a good laugh (different bike...) bit moody up the top, made all the more warzone-esque  by the recent logging...

Second ride off road in 4 months popped to Llandegla, did bits of Red, Black and Blue, uphill was tough for me but I had fun on the flat and downs!

10k trail run tomorrow

Grizedale messing around today. Bit slippery on some of the steep stuff.

In other news... I lost my cheap eye defenders half way round and had to pop into Grizedale Bikes. Got a pair of goggles. What a revelation! As a contact lens wearer I'm really sensitive to shit going into my eyes. The goggles were great! Never to old to try new stuff.

Have a good one wherever your riding.

Rode lots of new (for me) trails at the North Third and revisited some classics at Cambusbarron. A fine day, definitely done when we got back to the cars (despite me thinking I had more in the tank!)

Formentor ride to the light house on Friday. Weather was lovely. In contrast, our attempt on Sa Collobra yesterday was thwarted by biblical levels of rain, sleet, howling gales and plenty of cross-wind misery... Today, all riding is off till the afternoon. Weather is grim. Tomorrow is sunny though, so up early and back up to do Sa Calobra.

Yesterday afternoon was the first ride out with the little one on the weeride this year and it was brilliant! Lots of giggling from both party's.

It's quite the challenge when you have a 18 month old saying "tickle tickle" and grabbing your thighs!

Best. Ride. Ever.

for one of the trails at Dunoon I recorded a time lapse rather than a video somehow.  made it into a movie.

Pure slopfest on win hill yesterday. One of those rides where I wondered why I bothered, but felt better for it and had a play with my new camera.

Went out yesterday, no photos but got in 7 decent descents in The Dark Peak, including Cavedale, Back Tor Farm, The Beast. Or Fluffy Kitten as I like to call it, Potato Alley, Lokerbrook and a Cheeky one.

Stopped at the Courtyard Cafe in Hope for a refuel. Didn't have a cake but the Millionaire slices looked lush

Biked up to tarn how's to meet the family for a lap with the little fellas on their bikes and a picnic. First time I've ridden for more than a few hours for long long time. Totally annihilated on the way back. Meant to climb back up into the forest to come down park a Moor. Legs said no. Maybe beer will cure the tiredness....

Weekend of tinkering with bikes, and a couple of local rides near Boxhill & Newlands Corner. Cheers to the lads showing me the 'learner lines' where they'd done some digging over the winter.

Turns out that I shouldn't have been where this pic was taken... shame as there's a lovely track down off that hill.

A steady 100km road ride on Saturday. Up to Swaledale on Sunday: up Fremington edge

Down to Langthwaite then up on to Reeth Low Moor and down Angry Man. Finished off by the riverside BW which has seen an "upgrade" as it's now part of The Swale Trail.

Vallelujah

Possibly the best one yet. The course was superb. Relentless tech from start to finish. The new Cademuir trail is immense!

I was working at the weekend so had today to ride instead. Turned out to be a good deal as Dalby was in great condition and quiet too. It was new bike day too with a maiden ride on my Pivot mach 5.5.

A couple of local rides - one with eldest_oab leaping in the sun on Saturday, Sunday introducing some new young riders from bike club to the delights of riding bikes in sunlight in the woods...
