Quick blast over to Clapham from Skipton this morning. Lots of muddy goodness, but actually drier than I expected. Clearly the plants are starting to do their job and dry my trails out.

Got a pass tomorrow as well - Lakes or Peak, need some reports to make up my mind.

Out on the MTB yesterday, local bridleways were soggy and waterlogged. So cheeky road blast tomorrow pm. Sunday is Mother's day so no chance of getting out ๐Ÿ˜€

Indoors 30 miles tonight, Llandegla social ride lunchtime tomorrow and local bimble over Kinver Edge on Sunday for me. Push myself tonight because the next two will be very easy paced!

Lots of riding planned for me this weekend.

Will be out for an easy 3hr spin tomorrow with Dad/Sister.
Then Sunday is the Falkirk no excuses sportive, for which i'm still undecided about whether to bimble round the 62mi in 5hrs on the MTB, take the road bike and go full gas, or something in-between.

I'm not sure how this has happened, but both my XT levers have failed at the same time which is really odd, the front wouldn't return - pushed pistons back in and it just pumps up and then locks on - the front was biting but no power, my fault - I had centred it properly after refitting the fork - pushed the pistons back, centred, pumped up the lever and bam - it's gone the same way. 18 months old - CRC are having them back.

The Lake District or natural stuff in North Wales. As yet, still undecided.

It'll be a great day out either location

I might get a couple of miles in to a cafe and back on Saturday while my daughter is at a birthday party. Not really feeling the love for riding for pleasure at the moment. Commuting is fine, anything else I'm struggling to muster any excitement about.

We're off up to me mam's on Sunday- up to Roker, along the sea front to South Shields, over on the ferry to North Shields, past Tynemouth (probs stop for awesome coffee from the hipsters at the market), bool through Cullercoats and Whitley Bay and finally Blyth in time-ish for Sunday dinner. Then trundle back via assorted hostelries... About 70 miles/4 pints all in ๐Ÿ˜†

Still struggling to decide but probably Didcot to Swindon on the Ridgeway tomorrow (not certain what bike yet) and 40 miles on the BMC MC01 SS on Sunday. Just need to find a few road climbs to make it interesting.

Jnr is at a meeting in Matlock most of tomorrow so I'm dropping him off and then meeting a mate from Manchester for a road ride and lunch. To be fair, we'll probably meet for lunch and a road ride. Actually, we might not bother with the ride, just find a nice lunch with a great view 8)

Good wasn't it ๐Ÿ™‚

Had the afternoon at Innerleithen, mainly off-piste and getting drier - still snow around though but can't see it holding with double-digit temps.

Out Sunday, not sure where yet.

On the way back from an afternoon wander in the sun.
Totally the wrong bike but there were a couple of spots of rust on a couple chain links that reminded me I hadn't ridden it for over a month. Not riding bikes kills them.
I'll clean it and lube it now and then out on the SS later.

Explored some local bridleways (probably not a million miles away from where Klunk was in his OP) yesterday to try and link up a few more local off-road loops.

While the sun's still out, will probably have another local pootle this afternoon.

I did. Exploring a few more bridleways and encountering a nature reserve's new lawnmower...

Quick solo couple of hours hammering down the local enduro trails on Saturday. Bits were dusty!! Probably the most fun I've had on a bike in months. Perfect sunny weather, shorts and a short sleeve jersey but not hot, felt like I was riding smoothly. Pure joy on a bike
[IMG] [/IMG]

No riding sunday for Mothers day, then a lush extended commute this morning. Happy days!

Spent all day Saturday rebuilding a garden wall, so was delighted to get out on the road bike on Sunday (first time since before Christmas!). 8 miles in and the freehub went ๐Ÿ™ Not happy.

On a positive note, I have a long weekend in the Brecon Beacons this weekend. Yay! ๐Ÿ˜€
