I'm in the lakes. Whiteless Pike and Rigg Beck loop today. Exhausting, terrifying and climb. after climb after climb.
[img] [/img]

The rain stayed off so it was all good.
Where you off?

Im off, I need a shower.

I will be changing the CXer's tyres back to Griffos, or Baby Limus, from the Almanzos that have been on it for about 8 weeks now.. then I plan to head to QECP and ride until I puke.

Me and the GF are in Sedona - added this to our US bike trip after seeing Hannah's pics of her Liv demo a little while back.

So far we've hit Grand Junction, Moab and Sedona with Durango, Colorado Springs and Denver still to go ๐Ÿ™‚

It's probably one of the enduro tracks, though not one that I've raced and there were a load of trees down across it.

Not far off the North Face loop though.

You have to go off the North Face to get those views over Coniston, too. How wet was it over there today?

I only managed 30 odd km on the road bike around Saddleworth this morning. I wasn't feeling it at all.

Kielder Forest ..natural stuff where I fell in love with a new girl who came whimpering up to us about two miles into the ride ..probably not used to as much affection that me and Jaco smothered her with until we found out where she lived and had to say goodbye..I liked her so much I shared my lunch ..didnt even find out her name ..but a lovely friendly dog..

Mech hanger.

Thanks but it is not Mech hanger/mech interface, seatpost/clamp/saddle rails, cassette/freehub interface, crank/chainring bolts all of which were stripped, cleaned, re-greased and re-torqued and the BB was swapped out for another. Oh and a full gear cable inner/outer were done as well as messing about with the Thru-axle.

I just can't ride the thing when i'm not 100% happy with it, a creak means something isn't right.

Nice and loamy in the woods this morning, despite all the rain we've had.

I'll pop back with the pics.

Thanks but not the seat clamp. As I indicated in my previous post the dropper post was removed from the frame, cleaned and re-greased..and the saddle and the clamp.

Also the wheels were tensioned and trued by Willy Bain not 2weeks ago. I'm all out of ideas, may take it back to willy and plead for help..I'm sure it's the rear hub/wheel.

Did you try greasing the rear axle?

Had that one last year.

Yeah, not that and I was experimenting with various axle tightness. Don't have a spare axel like a maxxle stealth or I'd have tried that instead of the Stanton one.

Led a Fat Lad at the Back social road ride for 28 miles round south Derbyshire at a leisurely 12.4mph average. Managed to keep 13 riders of diverse ability satisfied.

There was cake

And one of the riders discreetly dropped of the back of the group to deal with a recently deceased pheasant, and has posted up a great pic of it coming out of his oven this evening.

Swinduro today - good course and great vibe. Was only 12 seconds off my first ever podium in vets too which I'm very pleased with. Reckon I could have pushed harder and found 1.2 seconds per stage if I'd known!
To be fair it's more of a multi stage XC race but was a good way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

My elbow is still tender over anything bumpy, after crashing a few weeks ago, so I'm limited to the road

Bit of trail maintenance (reopening an old trail that had fallen out of use), then a usual Sunday pootle round the (Autumnal) local woods.

Spent the weekend riding lots of trails that looked like this (but steeper) at Inners...

With tyres clagged up like this...

Anyone name the trail that this drops into?

Davos sure was amazing Scaled. The transfers alone made the trip worthwhile. How did you get a piccie of yourself on the bridge coming back down after stage 8 ?
