Top day with 68 lovely folk at the Nevis Range / Hannah & Joe Barnes ride today. Suitably daft Christmas jumpers and outfits mandatory, including the dog...

First ride since 28th August for me. Been climbing the walls...

Went round the red at Leeds urban bike park on the new bike. The downs were ace, any physical exertion was knackering. Plus seems my foot isn’t quite ready for regular riding just yet 😤

Does early hours of the morning count? Joined a small bunch riding from South Wales down to Stonehenge boa Salisbury Plain for the winter solstice. Was a great ride but tired now after 3 hours sleep.

Showed my brother in law who's training for a few ultras around loch bradan/Cornish on Saturday, him running me biking.

Then a days uplifting with the troops at inners today.

Grand.

Much less epic than it may first appear (only 20 or so miles)

I took the roadster up to Thurso in the car. A mate and I were going to do the Aultnabreac gravel loop, and as we are planning doing a meet there on vintage bikes in Spring, I wanted to do a trial run. However it was much too wet, so it was Groats for coffee instead.

Second outdoor ride in 10 weeks on Saturday, after a busy few weeks with indoor rides being my main riding, an amazing ride around the Gwydir Maw (Marin Trail), indoor work has helped massively.

Seeing as it was Christmas, spent a couple of hours with The Old Man...

Glorious day in the Lakes.
