It's that time again.
Show us all what you've been up to.
Ride along the SUW for me as everything is still shut due to storm damage.
Though I did venture down through a couple of trails that are still ridable in Yair.
Was pretty icy in places.

@singlespeedstu

That is a lovely hardtail, I'm hoping to get my new Switch9er built up today and get out tomorrow.

I haven't ridden a hardtail for years, ... excited.

@dumbbot.
Thanks.
I love the hardtail even though it's a little harsh on some of the trails round here.
Bloody good fun though.
Gets some pics of yours later.👍

Damp one over the Dales with our local woman-led offroad club. Brings me such a smile.

Enjoy @dumbbot. I’m out on my Sherpa tomorrow and I love it.

Sunny in south Dorset on Friday, but blowing a hooley. My mate Rich starting the descent of Post Office Hill to Osprey Quay on Portland. They used to used to lower huge slabs of Portland stone down this hill!

Had a night the in Lakes on Friday so managed to pick the best day of the week for a grasmere & langdale pootle. Lots of trees down which made some of the route "challenging."

The photo sums up the ride - cold, grey, dead end exploring, on my own due to (still) ill mrs_oab. Meh.

We rode out from home. First ride out on the bike for Abigale since she broke her leg 99 days ago and she didn't want to get to 100 days with no riding. Trails were wet but firm. Steady training programme now till the start of the race season

@tracey. Good stuff, glad she is on the mend.

@beargrease. Thanks, frame is 30 years old, but built up from scratch this year.

Thanks @ahsat, I had a gen2 Slackline and loved it. I do think Stanton make some of the best feeling hardtails around.

New bike first shakedown, and first hardtail ride in 3 years or something...not so different, need to experiment with stem/spacers/bar position washed the front a couple of times. But overall it does feel like a quality bit of kit.

First ride of the season that actually feels like winter. Locals singletrack starting to get sloppy in places. Can't complain too much as they've been running strong for two months longer than normal this year...

Tried an extended Gypsy Glen out of inners today, got pretty fed up of trying to find a way over from whiteknowe head to stake law that wasn't a Heathery death, so binned it, as time was getting on.

Still guid to be out.

ya

With the ongoing 'forest lockdown' we opted for a local exploratory ride

It was cold and frosty on Friday instead of grey, windy and sloppy so I tried to do a lap of Edinburgh at race pace fuelled only by Christmas food. Two turkey, stuffing and cranberry bagels, two mince pies, two cereal bars and a few handfuls of haribo and I had pretty serious gut pain by mile 50. Still managed to rattle off about 70 miles on the MTB at 11.5mph though so I was pleased with that.

Not so pleased by the fact I didn't have it in me to eat the pork pie I'd packed 🙁
