Sram Quick links. Really? I'm off to call trading standards.
Is there a knack to it or something? After 20mins I ended up borking it, now need a new one. And maybe some more patience.
More of a rantette, I know.
How about you?
There is a technique - and for the gibbon handed there is a pliers tool for the job.
run a small round file round the edge before using them to make them undo a bit easier
Those pliers are an absolute god-send, failing that I think there is a technique I've seen on YouTube using string or zip ties.
Is it a 10 speed one? They are designed to be single use only and are called powerlock, not powerlink like the 7/8/9spd ones.
How ever with the aforementioned pliers there is no issue with splitting them and reusing them.
Top tip. Throw your powerlock away and fit a gold 9speed one, they work fine on all our 10 speed bikes.

+1
I can just about manage raw handed with some technique - bit of wiggling of chain and so on - but as above, pliers FTW.
7/8/9speed ones use that essential skill you learnt as a teenager, being able to open a womans bra one handed.
Sometimes i undo a powerlink in seconds and other times can't do them at all. My wife's bra - first time every time and she doesn't even notice half the time i have done it.
Think she would get annoyed if i started doing it to other women though ๐
Ended up taking an angle grinder to mine after ruining my nails and varnish. Now have the proper tool for the job. Didnt realise the gold 9 speed ones worked on 10 speed as have a few of those in the garage
9spd powerlink all the way. When they're stiff just wrap an old gear cable round the link and pull on that. Use gloves though
