Just received some today - any ideas how to make em less penetrable to water? Thinking duck tape on the inside of the mesh. Any better ideas??

I've got some AM50 shoes which are similar. I smeared clear silicon sealant over the mesh to keep the wind and wet out. It worked OK but started to come off after a while.

I have some of these. Good shoes. As you say, tape on the inside makes a big difference, keeps the wind and rain from cutting through your feet. The tape does come off after a while tho, but not whilst you're wearing them, Water will still get in though when it's wet, i wear waterproof socks too. If you want waterproof shoes you have to pay for them!

Top tip - i left mine wet in the garage, then something fell on one and it didn't dry properly for two weeks, and has kinda rotted and now falling apart :-S To be fair would probably kill most shoes, but do be sure to dry them out.
