Occasional riding when is biblical!

Had an endura singletrack suit but too big!

Separate trousers look a good idea.

Slim build, 33 leg, 32" waist

Been using some of these for walking and taking the dog out. Still going strong after quite a few years

Yeah, I ordered a pair of those and they were hilariously commodious. I could probably have got both of my legs down one leg of the trousers. I came to the conclusion that folk recommending them were involved in some sort of group wind-up.

You could have a look at trousers for runners as they'll be a close fit but they tend to be very light/thin and I doubt they'd stand up to any prolonged saddle wear.

I have a pair of Gore Bikewear waterproofs which have done me well for both walking and cycling but I don't know if they're still available.

I have a pair of the fox waterproof trousers, were bought for biking but now occasionally used for dog walking when it's grim out. Nicely tapered for biking but also works well with wellies or boots.

I'd have thought the running suggestion is good. Went looking for ronhills, these could be good - lots of sizes

Mountain Equipment Saltoro for walking, Fox 3L for riding.

The former are overtrousers, the latter are not. Don't really want to be wearing two pairs of trousers and added bagginess while riding.

I've got some Montane ones that do double duty.

My top tip is look for ones that zip all the way down the sides: (a) they tend to be a much tighter cut as they don't need to allow for pulling all the way on over boots, so far better for riding in and (b) they are MUCH quicker to take on and off.

(And (c) they can be a little less totally waterproof as there are zips down the side... make sure the flap is over the zip properly, especially at the knee when riding)

These look the business apart from being stupidly long (on paper).

Gone for the evadict ones in a medium, seems like a nice fit without lots of surplus material.

Would last 5 mins on the bike at a guess as very light weight
