Specifically D Jab owners but also Wanga owner thoughts appreciated ๐
Are any of you running 100mm travel forks?
My D Jab with suspension corrected Salsa forks (100mm) rides a bit "high" at the front. The forks are only temporary whilst I look for some suspension forks.
I had thought 120mm travel forks were the way forward but am now thinking 100mm ๐
As it stands I am thinking about running a flat bar to get the front end down a few extra mm.
Thoughts please ๐
My bike oot and aboot yesterday:
Anyone?
I used to run a 130mm U-Turn Revelation on the front of a Wanga in the Peak, usually at around 115-120mm or so. The steering was quite quick and a slightly longer fork didn't seem to hurt it. If you're not sure, how about something with adjustable travel, so you can shorten the fork to suit.
Blimey. I run 140mm Thors on my D-Jab and it feels too steep for me on descents!
I'll be trying my SC32s later this week when I send the Thors off for servicing, so will let you know...
what's the A2C of those forks? How "suspension corrected" are they?

They are 445mm which is 5mm more than I would have thought usual for a 100m suspension corrected rigid fork but I cannot see 5mm making a difference! ๐
Had revs set at 115mm on my wanga
Well, my Thors are 520mm (uncompressed), the SC32s are 494mm.
Most 100m forks are in the region of 480mm, so approx 450mm 30% compressed. Your Salsa's sound short.
the D-Jab is designed for 140mm forks and came with Revelations which are the same length as the Thors.
Personally, I'd go large, but maybe get somethign with lockdown to help get the front down for the climbs.
