I've bought some new wheels for my 160/150 bike as another set for longer distance/more xc rides, that will at some point form part of a new d*wncountry bike. Barzos seem ideal, but they come in a big range of sizes.
In the TNT sidewall they do 2.1, 2.25, 2.35 and 2.6. anyone know if these are like, say, DHF, where certain sizes have a significantly different tread size? Otherwise seems a bit mad to have a tenth of an inch between sizes!
I want light, tough, fast and grippy. Also the moon. On a stick.
2.35 front/rear seems most tempting, but 2.25s are a bit cheaper.

I had a 2.25 Barzo on a Hope Tech Enduro rim (23mm?) and it seemed a little under size.

If you look on the Vittoria website and look at the metric sizes (e.g 59-622 etc) they assign to a 2.25 and then convert it to imperial it is more like 2.1!

I'd go 2.35" if they're straddling a 150mm / downcounty bike, 2.25" for racing or rapid XC riding.

Just bought a 2.35 and the knobs are bigger than the 2.25. Not fitted it yet so can’t comment on volume but I’d say it looks bigger than 0.10in of a difference.
