A few of us went to Manchester velodrome last night for a 2hr taster session.
It was one of the best bike related things I've ever done. As complete novices we progressed from riding the blue inner track to riding the very top of the banking, individual 1 lap timed races and 6 lap group races.
all this for less than £30, amazing value for money. highly recommended if you can manage to get a slot

It's excellent fun isn't it! The only thing I disliked was the dry air, which made my throat dry.
