[#10474999]

So first super quick play with new vector 3s. First thing I’ve noticed is the pedals are reporting a massive pco of around +24 to +84 on right.

I’ve long had a problem with water falling to the outside of the pedal and outside foot pain. My knees are quite inward turned at the top of the current pedal stroke and feet are quite tilted to the outside (so really high arch) I’ve played with various inserts but thinking cleat wedges and possibly a big change is needed to get me pushing more central on pedals.

Basically I’m thinking I need to put cleats further inward and wedge the outside of the cleat to straighten it uo a bit

So anyone else had this type of issue, or used pco to adjust cleats. How did you interpret the data and what did you do?

Any good sites to read up on, gArmin is a bit light on how to use the data

Morning, anyone ?

did a moderate session this morning with different shoes (outdoor ones) +14 / +54 so still big offset and useful to show my shoes aren't setup the same...

going to try wedging a bit at a time to see if I can improve

That’s a big offset. My figures from this morning were -3 and -5.

Are your cleats lined up properly?

I use two wedges under each cleat with the thicker parts on the inside to compensate for fallen arches/supination.

First thing I’d do is check cleat positioning carefully, take measurements and compare. If your knees aren’t tracking straight then wedges should help. A Retul bike fit would help analyse the issue.

cleats are slightly rotated to allow for a bit of a duck stance so I get a bit of heel rub on the chainstays.

knees track really well vertical, but that is if I tilt my foot. if I push with a flat foot over pedal I hit my knees on the top tube. reckon I've taught myself to pedal on the outside of the foot to get good knee tracking

I had a fit when I first started road riding several years ago. it was retul but there wasn't a lot of focus on cleat positioning.

reckon I'll experiment a bit and see if it makes any improvements before stumping up more cash (wallet is a bit light!
