Are all pedals as bad with regard to paint coming off? Mine are almost entirely free of paint after a winters riding, is this the norm for all pedals or did DMR buy their paint from the Early Learning Centre?

No idea but my bearings and/or bushings have gone in less than 200 miles use. If they hadn't sat around gathering dust for a couple of years before fitting they would be on their way back.
Mine aren't used enough for the paint to have marked.
Shame as they are nice in use.
