ok bought a set of hopes with mavic ust rims, going to try them with non ust/lust tyres with stans fluid to see if they work ok to save the money on ust tyres.
watched a wee vid on the stans site with him burbing air from different combo of tyres and rims, even ust tyres and rims and it looked so easy to loose air.
surely not?

Non-ust or tubeless ready tyres can work tubeless, but ime its much harder to get the bead to seat.

Is it as easy to 'burb' the tyres and loose air as he makes it look in his vid?

If you run bugger all pressure, then yes. If you run normal pressures, then no.
