How will using 10wt fox oil affect the action of my Rockshox Sektor that should have 15wt?

Any suspension gurus out there?

I'm no genius but thinner oil will go through the damping system faster at a guess and make the fork more active , you'd need more compression/rebound damping to make the fork behave the same as before with the heavier weight oil.

However different oil brands can have different viscosity for the same suggested weight.

Rockshox oil is heavier for its weight than most oils so its probably going to have a big effect i.e. rockshox 10wt = Rebranded Torco 15wt etc.

Not sure if this is completely uptodate but I imagine it is still fairly accurate. It gives you a better comparison of the actual Viscosities.
