Looking at several USB front lights for commuting, the NiteRider Lumina 700 in particular.
Is it okay to get a USB wall charger and use the cable they supply? The thing is I can't use any USB connections on PC's in the office I'm based at the moment because of security issues, but I'll only be there for a few weeks. I need the lights asap and want to go USB and wandered if this would be okay to do....? If so could anyone recommend a quality USB wall charger please....?
Cheers
Johnny
You can use the USB port on your PC as it's only the 5V power you'll be using, not the data signal.
However, any USB wall charger will also work. They are cheap as chips these days and come with most mobile phones.
I use an iphone charger and a garmin one on mine, as long as its a higher powered one it will be fine
I dont think there will be much of a security risk plugging in a light to a USB port !!
I use my iphone charger plug....
That's good news.........
Sorry, the USB ports are all disconnected so memory sticks can't be used in them, well, only specific machines (staff guys) and mines not one unfortunately.
But I have a couple of USB wall chargers for my iphone so I'll use those then, nice one.............
Thanks for the replies everyone

They'll be "disconnected" by having drivers disabled (or similar). It's very, very unlikely that someone has gone into the PC and snipped the 5V power.
Your probably right, can't go messing though, I'd be in deep shit....!!!!
