Bought a Sick Bikeโ€™s tee shirt the other day and it turned up which was nice, Iโ€™m happy to support them and if the few quid they made from my purchase helps them deliver other items then Iโ€™m happy to be of service.

In defence of the general consensus here, I don't think anyone doubts their credentials as a clothing company.

Bit 20th century isn't it, judging a company by whether the products you paid for are delivered?

I tend to consider that the bare minimum service to be honest. Nice would be something beyond that.
Whilst far too uncool for a Sick bike I did recently buy a Bird. Their clothing range does seem a bit weak but they were good at the boring business of providing me a bike of the requested spec within a couple of days of sending them the order and money. Also managed "nice" in my eyes by providing good advice and initial setup help.

My โ€œit turned upโ€ comment was a bit tongue in cheek to be fair, but Iโ€™m still pleased to help them make some profit to deliver some awesome bikes. No doubt theyโ€™ve made plenty of mistakes along the way but I like their intentions (or intentions as I see them) and I hope they succeed.

You have read this and previous threads, yeah?

Deliver seems misplaced.

Deliver seems misplaced.

That's the intention of this thread. Tor warn...

And in my opinion: a new bike company should worry about making bikes and not T-shirts. T-shirts are later in the game....

Unless you convinced them to buy some bike, get them into the country and then sell them your hope may be misplaced....

And when they do turn up up the paint will fall off in a light breeze and the welds will be shit.

What would happen if you cut out the middle man, blagged one of Sick's designs, tweeked it ever so slightly and got it made by Marino or similar for a fraction of the price?

Might speed up delivery...

Even if you copied the designs verbatim, itโ€™s not like they can afford the copyright lawyers... I reckon thatโ€™s why they never put full geo details on the web, only indications like โ€˜slack AFโ€™ and โ€˜this longโ€™.

It's either that or they haven't decided yet themselves.

Or it could be that they just imagined they all existed in the first place

I think all the hardtails have had at least one โ€˜modelโ€™ produced (tbh, all the different models arenโ€™t massively different, itโ€™s just a change of wheel size/material/gearbox/etc for the same basic blueprint). Actual pictures of actual full suss frames and bikes do seem to be harder to come by, outside of sicks IG

Maybe they went for the โ€˜* you, we donโ€™t want to sell to youโ€™ angle to STW and PB because they absolutely knew they wouldnโ€™t be able to keep up with that demand if they took off there, but might have half a chance if that was the filter. Only sell to people who like to be told to * off, or that they are a *. (My interactions with them and the fanbois on social media found someone that would apparently ONLY buy from someone who called him a *)

But, as we are seeing, they a struggling with that too. Lucky (some of) the customers like to be told to **** off

Is this thread mostly full of posters with no actual real interest (ie waiting for a frame) just like the previous locked thread? Lots of opinions getting thrown about with no real need. And don't get me started on that saddest of sad tee shirt thread.....

Also, MOAR new model names. Have they ever made more than one or two of q model before moving on?

You know, the way people like Cy gradually, and methodically build up a range, rather than the approach of throwing enough shit at the wall and hoping something sticks.

Rubber_Buccaneer

Iโ€™d start one but Iโ€™m not entirely happy.

Why the unhappiness, RB? I thought your frame looked pretty good, and your first impressions were pretty positive.
