Only Lee is a person of significant control though. As Tim and Jordan were/are for Sick (but Lee wasn't)
So I guess we are about to see that old bike company classic "dissolve old company and sell all existing stock to new company for one pound" how fittingly retro from our favorite snake oil salesmen!
If we were, I think it would have already happened. Sick Bicycles and Sick Corp are both owned/directed by Jordan and Tim (Lee had no involvement in the latter), and have been for a while. I genuinely think this is a clean break from them by Lee, having been screwed over for the last year.
RE should probably look into John Whytes background... and why on earth a bike company would invest in F1...
RE aren't investing either.
They ar probably, 'cleaning up', though.
Oooh, I do like the comparisons between Sick! and Rich. Potty mouthed, hairy CEOs (if that job title really applies), both convicted of being somewhat economical with the truth (one in the court of public opinion, t'other in a real court), both selling a product that seems to exist more in the imagination than reality (though according to Rich's twitter account the cans are being stocked by a petrol station chain in Indiana, so that's okay then), both seem to be actually clothing companies with a sideline in their so-called main product.
Interestingly nowhere on Rich's website does it list the ingredients of their so-called premium energy drink, but it was developed "with scientists", so that's okay then too.
In the old days this kind of thing was the domain of the smooth talking bar stewards. Now it seems the bearded trash talkers have moved in. Different clothes, same end result. Whoever stumped up the cash for their Formula 1 adventures is going to get burned methinks..
Breaking News!
New candidate for Tory Leadership race throws hat into ring, joining the ten already declared:

And here he is:

I guess Rich Energy are pissed off that Whyte didn't sue them sooner, so they wouldn't have had a load of cans made which they can't now use. Though it gives them an excuse.
Sick! are supposed to be at the Malverns this weekend.
Have they updated anyone on the frame situation other than the last copy/paste email?
The insta account seems very quiet.
Sick! are supposed to be at the Malverns this weekend.
They're not listed on either the expo or demo pages on the Malvern website?
pulled out i think, for once a wise move!
Saved the petrol money for paying refunds no doubt.
or lee used to drive them and they cant get there anymore
I never had any interest in sick from the start but have vicariously followed there fall from grace with interest as Iโm very local to them.
What i will ย say is Jordan was looking very relaxed in Worthing on Sunday with his family spending your hard earned cash on shizzle!
over all though it sucks for all of us when people mug you off and thx god itโs only really happened to me once with another very well regarded company along time ago! Frame was put together by a blind monkey! Or perhaps thatโs a blind monekey could of put it together better Iโm not sure🤪

Some comments on SuperStars Facebook post that these were intended for Sick ... but they didn't pay!
You know youโre ****ed when even Superstar are trolling you!
RE have trolled Chris Harris off of Top Gear today, too - what a truly bizarre way to do business.
Superstar components had a wobbly start, customer service wise.
Sick! Bikes - hold my energy drink, watch this...
One wonders what work they've had done in the last year that they have paid for?
(Superstar have gone up a notch in my estimation. They are now at notch 1.)
Those pedals look like meat tenderisers, should soften your shins up.
The Brooklyn Machine Works pedals that they (and a lot of Sicks output) are based on were called โshin burgersโ. Doesnโt take a genius to work out why...

ยฃ100 for them pedals ! Woah !
There is 40% off the at the moment making them ยฃ60, you would be mad to buy most SS stuff at full up money, there is always a discount code available. Even then though ยฃ100 for U.K. made pedals doesnโt seem far away. These are not my cup o tea, but you can bet they will sell em in bucket loads
That's [s] genius [/s] ever so slightly amusing

I came on here to make the comparison with Rich Energy (the tweeting, the somewhat opaque funding model, and hard to find product of debatable quality). Honestly it sounds like it could be the same people...
But someone beat me to it. Back to work!
Industry Bike Works have a countdown timer on their website - https://industrybikeworks.com/
Be interesting to see if the bikes that are currently branded as Sick reappear at the end of July suddenly turn up with this branding instead....
Be interesting to see if the bikes that are currently branded as Sick
Newly registered (on the 6th).
Being charitable I would go with him wanting a clean break from them and setting up a new company. So fair amount of similarity with the old bikes given the same designer but thats it. I cant see Marino building for them though not without all the cash up front and no pedals from superstars.
If it isnt him splitting off surely they would have the brains to make sure the brands cant be connected?

Itโll be for the release of their new energy drink called shield. Personally Iโm loving the design.

a cursery glance at who they follow and who the followers are on insta would suggest that they arent particularly distancing themselves

I followed Lee's instagram when he was coming up with interesting (to me at least) designs for Sick.ย All he has done is changed the account name from 'a Sick engineer' to 'industrybikeworks'
oh... *puts columbo costume back in drawer*
Wouldn't you at least make sure you are not registered in the same road as Sick, you know literally just to distance yourself a bit..? I mean they are literally over the road, though i appreciate it's just an accountants.
is it not just another way of folding the company and the debts?
To be fair to Lee if he is going out on his own he has a sh*t ton of lessons learnt from working with Sick.

Don't count your chickens. Much of the whole sick mess - it at least seems from the outside - is largely exacerbated if not outright caused by their inability to recognise, let alone learn from, the very obvious lessons of their errors.
Lee might be a completely different case but if he is he's left it very late to jump ship.
Superstar components had a wobbly start, customer service wise.
I agree, but Superstar at least had bits to sell, even if the quality maybe wasn't there (and customer service definitely wasn't) initially.
If I was making a break from either Sick or Rich Energy Iโd be starting up a punchy new brand of popcorn.

yes that Marino head badge is my design on my new custom frame i bought after giving up on sick ๐
Yeah but what's bothering me is, is Marino a bloke or a company?
It's just the Italian distributor for Marin.
Sceptical ย mod is sceptical.
