The most any journo will do is to give them yet another opportunity to say that they are sorting stuff and really really sorry honest guv. I very much doubt there'll be a "haven't we heard all of this before...", Probably a nice picture of a s****y warehouse with one frame and a zillion empty boxes, some more hipster coffee...

What Sick need to do is stop the bull, sort out every single refund and deliver on existing orders make sure these take priority over any new products/socks etc. Give the competition winner his frame, reply to emails in a timely manner, oh and maybe stop being dickheads on the internet.

You may be surprised.

What was it about their bikes that drew customers to them 'name/branding' / give a start up a leg up?

Personally I would spend the time reply to the backlog of emails but what do I know.

Clearly still doing things in the wrong order - do that while no one is watching. Or do a Miley Cyrus & delete it all & start again...

Iโ€™ve waited months for packages to arrive royal mail to canadapost before now.. whereas Iโ€™ll get packages out of Europe in days..frustrating as heck though!

Yeah itโ€™s weird and a total lottery as to what will turn up and when! Maybe itโ€™ll be my retirement gift to myself 🙂

Oh yeah, Canada Post are horrendous for that. I complained to my postie that 4 months' worth of a monthly mag subscription, and about 3 weeks of a weekly magazine, had not been delivered. For the next 6 days they delivered nothing but magazines, some issues of which they'd obviously been sat on for more than 3 months.

Tbh, Sick should use that as an excuse, even for those bikes not being sent to Canada...

I know that I'm a bit late to this conversation, but, I ordered a Ruby Wulf frame with the understanding that it was going to ship in 2 weeks.....that was March 1. I also ordered a t-shirt that, to my surprise, arrived here in California less than a week later. When I was sent the notification of the shipment, I mistakenly thought it was the frame. I was disappointed and puzzled. I thought they would just throw it in the frame box when they shipped that, not spend the money to expedite a t-shirt from the UK to CA.....weird. I followed up with them and was initially told that it would be two weeks. Subsequent emails then claimed that they had run into a problem. The frames had been made, but they were, for reasons they never explained, unable to bring them ashore and were "sorting it out and would send everyone an update soon".

Weeks continued to pass and two things happened. I noticed that they had removed the Wulf series frames completely from the website, and I came across this blog while looking for Wulf geometry.
I decided to push them a bit more as by this point we are well over a month past the 3/16 ship date they promised me. Since they still couldn't give me a ship date, I canceled and requested a full refund.

I was told by James that all refunds were authorized by their directors and that he would request my refund immediately. That was 3 weeks ago and still nothing.

I promised Sick Bicycles that if I didn't receive my refund within a few days that I would have a new hobby and that my new hobby would be to tell as many people as I could about their bullshit little scam. I also told them that I would continue to post on message boards and contact as many magazines in the US and Europe as I can. This posting is my first effort towards mastering my new hobby. Scumbag, rip-off, peice of shit little bitches. Seriously.....**** those guys.

This thread just keeps on giving. How can they continue to get away with this? I feel like Iโ€™m owed a frame at this point just for reading this.

Representing the UK scene though.

Nice to see them back on IG, but in reality, nothing has changed. Itโ€™s just another โ€˜everything will be fineโ€™ message like the half dozen before it. Itโ€™s almost like they think sending these messages out solves the problems. Still no action...

PSA. There are still frames available for sale & socks are 3 for 2!
"fighting to onshore their delivery" is my fave takeaway from their twitter.

The FAQ section of their website is my favourite....first question is....where is my stuff? Ha ha

Also interesting that every T-shirt sold they provide a meal for a kid and plant a tree. Maybe thatโ€™s where they have been lately? I mean I see loads of Sick T-shirts. So obviously they got loads of kids to feed and trees to bury! Right?

wow, i never realised this was a thing

"For every shirt we sell in 2018 we plant a tree and provide 1 meal for a child. We don't shout about it because its just something we do. We support the Eden Reforestation Project and Marys Meals. As such we do not sponsor, promote or endorse any other charity. "

i know the folk at marys meals, maybe i'll ask if it's legit

socks are 3 for 2

Who on earth wants three socks?

It's basic errors of judgement like that that make me think they're going to have problems running a business in the future.

I'm stunned no-one is standing outside their HQ (assuming people know where it is) and screaming for their frames.

Please do- that would be the most (g)narsasitic act to date I think.
It was one of the nice touches that added to my interest early on and lead to a few orders.

Well, they don't give to the Eden Reforestation Project (at least not formally).
They aren't listed on any of their partnerhsip pages;
> Forest Partners - $100,000 +
> Grove Partners - $50,000 - $99,999
> Sapling Partners - $10,000-$49,999
> Seedling Partners - $5,000-$9,999
> Seed Partners - $250-$4,999

Ummm, maybe that's because 'they' don't have one. Their registered business address is just round the corner from me.

Then i'd have been at the Show they were at recently etc. Surely in this day and age of social media etc they can't be that hard to track down ?

Itโ€™s been left too long. It was news 2 months ago, now though...
The story wonโ€™t fit in with anyoneโ€™s desires. May as well forget it.
2 months ago it was news and valid, now it would be either a look at a dead company or one with a company with new investors saying โ€œit wasnโ€™t our fault and weโ€™ve changed and weโ€™re nice guys nowโ€.

The claims about charity donations if false are quite significant.

A new focus could be a look at (and review of) Ubykโ€™s Oxford shop on their website. Iโ€™ll pop in tomorrow if they want...

Our riders demand performance and trust us to build frames that last not years, but decades. From their website.

Cant even trust them to deliver a frame in the first place. Bunch of chancers.

I hope everyone they have done over gets a refund asap.

Thatโ€™s probably true as the frames are a theoretical concept and therefore not bound by the rules of time and decay. This, in turn, means they will last forever.

It's a shame the mtb magazines didn't run a proper story on this some time ago and saved their readers the hassle of buying a frame that may not arrive.

Is this now not moving towards a trading standards, companies House and even police for fraud...?

It may seem extreme, but they are taking money when then haven't seemingly fulfilled orders for months...
