I love that ride, the little decent at 2.20 is way rougher/steeper than it looks.

Drac, you can get those little panning shots as an effect on windows movie maker, so i thought he might've done that.

I had at least 2 refusals at 2:20, it was wet and slippery, but it is way steeper than it looks in the video.

Nice film, brings back happy memories of this summer, and the doing Helvellyn in the sun the following day.

The shore section east west which goes from howtown to the farm has times ranging from 25mins to well over a hour on strava. So your route assuming your going up boledale first to hit the shore the best way could take anything from 1.5hrs to 4hrs. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Does that vid miss the scariest bit of the Ulswater shore. I seem to rememeber sections where it the drop from the path was all rocky and steep to the lake shore

PS I would have been mincing on a rigid bike so maybe it just looked less scary in the video...

It's not scary if you don't look at that and watch where you're going instead! ๐Ÿ˜›

I know what you mean but I'm sure at one point the lake is the is visible as the back drop to the rocks you are negotiating..
