'Ah, there she is.
Hands up who has actually ridden one of those Whyte beasts... *puts up hand*

Just home from work and found this thread. There's always someone who has a go at the Preston 4. I've had one for years - in's soooo good to ride. Eats anything XC for breakfast... Wouldn't part with it. I think it's a great looker in a weird, functional sort of way. Anyway, it rides great and I love mine.

*waits for usual cries of derision*

I rode one of them Whytes last weekend

It was set up far to soft for me and the wheelbase shrunk under compression, which was very weird

I fantastic piece of engineering though

I love my ugly bike, it's the best riding thing I've owned in 20 odd years of mountain biking and it's even more fun when you come smashing past trail mincers on their "cool hip and beautiful bikes".

Most importantly, it's MY bike and I love it. Screw you fashion Nazis ๐Ÿ˜€

If you happen to live next door to a loony bin, I assume.

any Klein will do, they're all gopping.
Here's one yesterday.

No way, the custom graphics on the older Attitudes were sick! I remember the lightning bolt ones looked amazing.

michaelmcc soon as i saw that thought something was wrong, looking closer.. no pivot! how does it.. bend?

don't even start on car maker stuff, theirs is deliberately retarded and that's no fun.

Ibis Bow Ti, relies on flex in the stays, the effective pivot point is in the same place as the equally gopping Klien Mantra (designed by Jon Castellano)

Eventually replaced by the real thing. Not the prettiest thing, but by god is it practical. Every school run should be on one. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Look, one of them is practically beige and the other's got hybrid wheels on it! Will that do you? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thus way the bike is equipped with unique features such as led lights integrated into the frame

Not exactly unique that is it. Unless unique has changed to mean "actually quite common in city bikes"
