Doing the C2C in a couple of weeks over 2 days and am wondering if anyone has any advice on what tyres to use? The bike I am going to use is a Cotic Soul MTB (26" wheels).
I am thinking I need to buy some sort of 1.4/1.5 slick or semi slick tyres???
Any thoughts????
Schwalbe marathon. Fantastic tyre.
1.5 Specialized Nimbus Armadillos were about spot on for me.

I used a pair of Schwalbe Hurricanes when I did the Sustrans C2C.
Nimbus Armadillo here when we did it camping, avoiding off road for the most part. They were fine. Borrowed a pair of the old quick Schwalbe MTB tyres, Furious Freds? When we did it in one go taking in every off road option. They were fine too!
Much of it is on road. Last 30 miles or so railway path. Semi slicks would do the job nicely.
