Can anybody help - I'm currently riding Nobby Nics on my Genius and they are now very worn and need to replace for winter. Really like the tyres and have no problems fitting the same again. Been searching the web and have found replacements that are described as rigid. Does this just mean they are not foldable and has anybody got any experience of the differences.

I'd guess your right with the rigid = non foldable and therefore being a wire bead and heavier.
The kevlar or folding ones will be the same tyre, just lighter
