Does anyone else find it a struggle putting on and removing tyres from dtswiss ex5.1d rims, or am I just lame? I've never had this amount of difficulty with mavics.
Any tips?

Mate has these rims. They are the worst rims ever for fitting tyres. Only advice is perseverance!

Always results in shredded knuckles!
Could do with swapping back to some mavics.

They aren't that bad. Are you pushing both beads into the centre of the rim to give some slack?

Sure am. I always get there in the end, but it just seems to take more effort and time than usual. Would be an absolute nightmare if it needed to be done while out and about!

Second that, so I've now gone and put some tubes on instead.

It was getting them off the bead in the first place that gave me hassle- once off that, they went on and off without much fuss and I didn't have any problems with "fresh" tyres but getting the ones that came with the wheels off was a thumbreaker- glued on with old sealant too.
