What tyres do you use front and rear on your trail bike?
At the mo I have 2.35 Kenda nevegal ust on front and Kenda small block 8 ust on rear on my meta 55.
I'm really interested what you use tyre wise as I have a ragley blue pig (with 140mm fork) now and i fancy a change of tyres.

For the winter my default is Blue Groove up front and Nevegal on rear, stick-e 2.1" versions.

For drier conditions I have Kenda Kharisma-Lite 2.1 (550g) front and rear specifics.

For summer (both days) I have 2.0" Fast Freds and Furious Freds for lighweight hardtails.

For snow....homemade Tioga Factory XC with steel studs front and a Schwalbe Ice Stud rear.

I've given up changing tyres and now run Maxxis 2.4 Ardent front, 2.25 Crossmark rear. If it's gonna be too muddy for that then I'll just go out on my road bike instead or head for a trail centre.

It won't be too hard to beat your current setup this time of year tbh, DTC Nevegal is a good rear tyre but a poor front, and Smallblock is a (fantastic) dry/damp conditions tyre.

Need to know more about your riding tbh... Right now i'm using a cut-down Nevegal 2.35 stick-e and an Eskar Control on one bike, and a Conti Baron and a Kenda Telonix 2.2 DTC on the other, but neither combo is fast rolling so wouldn't suit everyone.

Hi northwind, I'm more of a trail centre rider but I do ride locally at a place called Rivington pike near Bolton which can be a bit more muddy then a trail centre.mwould like to do more natural trails though.

The Baron's a really damn good allrounder... Not fast and not light but it copes well with mud but still grips on hardpack. Sort of like a supertacky Swampthing, only good ๐Ÿ˜‰ Expensive though.

TBH most tyres are good these days, people get fixated on what's best but there's too much personal taste involved for there to be any such thing, as long as you've got something that's vaguely suited for your riding anyway.

Rivis a bit of a mix tho - peat mud and eroded rocky trails.
