I'm sure this has been asked already so sorry if I'm just being dense and couldn't find it. I have XC719 rims, which are not UST. Does this mean I need non-UST tyres? Or will using UST tyres give me a better chance of it working better? I was planning to get Maxxis Crossmark LUST or something like that - general XC but with quite a lot of rocky Lakes riding so want something a bit harder wearing than Ralphs or Rons for example.
Cheers
UST tyres work much better in a tubeless setup than non UST tyres do, regardless of the rims.
Non tubeless tyres are a bit hit and miss when it comes to tubeless. Some work OK, many don't work at all.
Cool, thanks. I need new tyres anyway so thought I might as well get UST and give tubeless a go.
