right then im finally going to try tubeless as in ghetto style with gorilla tape and stans valves and sealant just a quick question will the tyres be air tight as i use schwalbe tubes at the moment and rearly need to inflate before riding will the tyres keep the set pressure or will they need to pumped up more often?

Unless you've already bought the rim strips I'd use 20" bmx tubes instead, far far cheaper and more succesfull in my experience than rim strips.
It's so simple you think you haven't done it right
To answer your main question I used slightly more sealant in mine to assist sealing the non tubeless tyre initially, in 6 months they've maybe had a couple of top ups of air and zero punctures despite my best effort.
P.s make sure you get the talc out the tyre or it makes it a bit cottage cheesy looking inside.
