ive got a set of dt rim strips to fit to my dt rims but have no valves at the min. is there any reason i cant chop out the valve from an old tube and use that? cheers

If it has a lock nut you stand a reasonable chance of sealing it

If you can cut a taper on the base it might work but I'd have my doubts. Does it have a removable core to help with inflation?

yeah they have removable cores and locknuts.

ring just riding along they have valves for £4.50 each.

I've just used them and they are great.
