I'm trying to go Tubeless on Stans Flow rims with Kenda Small Block 8's

I've got some Stans rim strips, and installed over the standard rim tape that was already on there. The tyre went on ok with the soap suds, but when I inflate the tire you can see air leaking around about half of the bead.

Is this correct? I'm guessing/hoping the sealant will then take care of it, but thought I'd check the STW Wisdom bank before getting messy!

Thanks for your help!

Have a look on the Stans website - its got some videos as to how to get them set up - you need to wiggle the tyres about to get the sealant all around the rims to stop air leaking. Failing that I find it tends to improve the longer they have been ridden for.

If it's leaking a lot around the bead it sounds like it's not seated, you need to get them up to a pretty high pressure, they will audibly 'snap' into position.

stans flows don't need the rim strips, just take the (cloth) rim tape off and yellow tape the rim bed.

+1 not properly seated - you need to pump like crazy until you hear 2 'pops' (one for each bead), once this happens, it will be quite easy to inflate the tyre, and it should hold pressure.

If you are still getting lots of small bubbles, either from around the bead or through the sidewalls of the tyre, this is quite normal. It is because you are using standard (non-ust) tyres which are slightly porous. Put some latex in there, reinflate and shimmy the tyre around to get the latex to every bit of the tyre - that should sort it.
