Does anyone know where to get the spacers for Truvativ GXP bottom brackets, or how necessary they are?

I was just about to fit the BB to my new frame when I realised I do not seem to have any with the BB. It is a 68mm BB on the frame, and I believe that the BB is 73mm. Last time I did this, I know I had 2 2.5mm spacers to add, one each side, but somehow I do not seem to have these with my new BB.

A quick search of the internet does not seem to reveal anywhere selling them, so I am wondering where I can get them from, or if I even need them at all.

Thanks

OH YES YOU NEED EM!

Think you may need 3 in total as I found out trying to fit my stylo cranks into my new 456.

The end of the crank spindle has a lip that prevents it going to far out.

Have a look at this - was helpful to me a while back:

68mm 2 on each side
73mm none

i had to fit my chainset to my bike with a 68mm shell without any spacers as that was the only way the chainline was correct. Same with my wife's bike, they have been like that for months with no problems.

I know it is not 'correct' but it is working just fine.
