This is supposed to be porn not the sort of fetish you should never admit to.

yummy white carbon frame:

hm, didn't know either, just got it from a blog, was labelled "custom" there, did some research, went from one blog to the other and the closest I could find in terms of origins is this here:

"(...) designed and baked the carbon frame (...) Frank, Middelburg (Holland)"

so home-baked?! 😯

Liking that - a proper custom bike. Reminds me a bit of this - the ultimate custom bike (hence no apologies to the OP for taking the thread in a direction he doesn't like), with no adjustment of seat or handlebars possible - apologies for the poor quality piccy, the best I could find.

A bit presumptuous aracer to think you know what I like is it not? Why don't you just add a picture of a nice bike instead of being cheeky at the same time? That's all I've been asking for from this thread all along.

Could have done, but the red saddle is pretty tired now and I wanted the carbonio SLR on the Moots. And as they say you don't look at the mantelpiece when you are stoking the fire ! 8)

Cool. I'm not that into road bikes so can you tell me a bit more about it? Must be scary light! Never heard of Hotta either.

15 years old now - was banned by the UCI in 2000, hence why you don't see bikes like that around any more. The white one I pictured above was due to be used by Graeme Obree at the '96 Olympics, though AFAIK he never actually used it in competition (he was ill and reverted to his old faithful as he was more comfortable on that).

Mine's not that light - my road bike is lighter - though light for a TT bike - the frame is <3lbs IIRC, and ~18lbs in total. 650c wheels, 76 degree seat angle, '97 9 speed DA (I believe I had the first set of 9 speed downtube shifters in the country - had to import them from the US - mounted on the Sytace tri-bars). Dia-compe 200sl brakes, which were the lightest you could get at the time. Custom computer sensor inside the rear triangle, with transmission to the handlebars via the frame and rear brake cable. No expense spared!

I suspect it's rarer than all your Indy, Moots etc. - mine is number 28.

I imagine this thread ran its course with the regulars here, but I hope you don't mind me digging it up to a) say that I really enjoyed flipping through it, and b) to post a pic of my '95 Dekerf Team in tribute. It's not a glam shot, but it's all I've got handy right now. The 1pc Ti "bull moose" bar/stem combo is a gem, and really gives the bike a ride unlike any other.
