[#4481827]

Woke up this morning to find Council had closed my road and couldn't drive to Cannock/Brocton from Brum...or anywhere else. 9.30am-4pm...not impressed!

Anyone else experience this today?

Yeah I had proper difficulties getting to Sparkbrook from Bournbrook; fortunately no actual runners being on the course meant I could nip across the course. Blue lights helped a bit, I dare say.

So you had no notification that your road was to be closed?
Seems a bit off that

There's been signs up around near me for the past month or so about the road closures.

Knowing me I probably did get something...but chucked it in the bin. I tend to get loads of crap through my letter box...especially taxi, pizza flers and political stuff.

Living in a cul de sac is a bit of PITA. Did get me thinking what would happen if my missus went into labour today tho?!

I woke up in a mate's flat in London a few years back, thought righto, time to get moving, need to get to King's Cross... Walked out front door, marathon everywhere.

So obviously the thing to do was to just jump the barrier and run along with it til it passed shadwell. More people got upset when I jumped back off the course than when I jumped on funnilly enough.
