Keep changing my mind about my next frame. Currently its a Patrol in Orange, but tomorrow it might be black. The next day who the f#ck knows, I might even go back to wanting the Scout.

How do you decide a colour?

White and gold? Blue and black.

Don't think wife would be happy with me blowing the holiday fund on another frame TBH Bregante.

Orange!!!!

No need to buy a bike thats boringly coloured.

Orange is pretty on trend now too.

Black and orange is pretty #enduro.

see what the importer can get in for you would be my first suggestion! not many of the new transitions around by the sounds of it.

The Patrols are in pretty short supply but more are coming in soon. Orange ones look pretty damn good imho.

Scout looks great in both colours, I'd probably go for the black though.

From a practical point of view orange will stay looking nicer for longer, black looks good when it's new but has a tendency to show up dirt and scratches(can look tatty pretty quickly) ime.

Yeah email has been sent to local dealer.
Didn't thibk matt black would show much in the way of damage, not that it will be hanging on the wall.

Orange may clash with my current attire but still the fav 😉

Does colour not depend on the colour of the bike it is replacing?

Different colour? Errrorrr does not compute. All bike frames should be back!

I picked a white Covert as that's all that was left !

Otherwise I'd say just whichever appeals more of will go with any existing components you want to use. If Black v Orange I'd say Black.

You've got til May to decide. Lbs rang Windwave when I was in the shop and said no more of anything available til May and a lot of that is pre sold. If experience tells me anything, May could mean September. 🙁

Orange! Cover it in Blue Hope bling to match the blue pivot caps, that's what I did to my pewter Covert

Pigyn - it's a large Smuggler I was after. By time they are available the funds will have been spent on forthcoming mini-mccett pram wheels if the discussion with my other half this eve is anything to go by.

Mountain bikes shouldn't be grey. Grey is for accountants and that suit you only wear for interviews and funerals. Black and white are just two ends of a greyscale.

mccett - depending on what Pigyn can do for you, we have a large Smuggler pre-ordered which I believe is due quite soon.

m_t_b - I hope it's Blue! it looks so much better in daylight than the pictures.

I've almost got mine built up, just waiting for a different rear tyre, the original choice clashed with the seat stay brace! I was a 2.3 WTB vigilante so not the best choice anyway, going to try a HR2.

I'll put some pics up when its together.

Those forks look nice. Time for a dropper?

Saw someone on an orange one yesterday and it almost seemed too bright for our dull British days. That sounds daft doesn't it.

Blown away by the forks, particularly as they cost the same as pikes.
Yeah, the seatpost has definitely seen better days, just waiting for the marzocchi dropper to come out as I can get a discount if bought through the shop I got the frame from (Windwave will discount any marzocchi product by 15% if bought with a transition frame/bike)

If I'm reading this correctly you have a smuggler and the seat stay brace wouldn't accept a 29*2.3 tyre? Thats a bit worrying, what width rim?

That's exactly what i'm saying. Wheels are SRAM Rail 50, 23mm internal width. The picture was take at about 20psi, at about 40psi the wheel stops turning.

oof that is tight. you should post that on the mtbr transition forum, the transition guys do lurk there. I wonder if a wider rim would pull the top down a bit? I am planning on building my smuggler with 23mm rims too. You got the blue you lucky sod! No more of them in my size in 2015 so black for me, which is still pretty cool so not too sad.
