I thought thats what you meant but didn't want to misinterpret - thanks for clarifying. That is super tight. I've gone for 38mm carbon rims for my scout so i'll need to check #whattyres scout owners are using before buying anything.

just waiting for the marzocchi dropper to come out as I can get a discount if bought through the shop I got the frame from (Windwave will discount any marzocchi product by 15% if bought with a transition frame/bike)

Any indication on an ETA and price for that post?

Re. the clearance, does indeed look tight, are those WTB's particularly big? The demo bike I had was 2.25 Nobby Nics, and if I recall the clearance was pretty good on those with 23mm WTB rims. Seems very tight for only 0.05 additional width.

I was looking at a friend's bike with those tyres and yeah they are really big for a 2.3 I'd say.

there is a photo of a 2.4 ardent here, which is a really big tyre

Tried a HR2 2.3 and clearance is all good.

Anyway, back to the subject of colour, get a 29er, BLUE!!!!!!

I'd quite like the blue but no more in my size until 2016 apparently. I do like black bikes though so not too sad.

Blown away by the forks, particularly as they cost the same as pikes.

My mates lasted 4 hours riding before they went back for repair. I think they might be going back again.

bigjim - what size are you after? I'm just checking as I don't want to wait till the end of March to be told that they still don't have my large in blue. Apparently it is on order and coming but have lost a bit of faith as 2 containers have been and gone without it so far.

Be interested to hear what issues you're mates had and also which model his forks are (NCR or CR)
