Staying near Chorley over Christmas (more specifically in the Withnell / Brinscall / Abbey Village area). Any tips for getting a couple of hour on the bike in? Doesn't have to be anything too serious, as no doubt everything will be plastered in snow anyway.
Had originally thought about driving over to Lee Quarry, but given the weather, riding out of the front door and in the surrounding hills is probably a better idea. Any riding around Angelzarke Moor / Winter Hill area?

sure is. Go to the baths in brinscall and ride up the road to the top of great hill then back down into White coppice, along the track to watermans cottage and up over the nab. Nice bit of man made single track in there, a couple of laps of that and back to Brinscall via the goit.
alos a few little runs in the plantation above the baths.
Might be out and about myself over Chrimbo if you fancy being shown around a bit.
Also plenty around darwen tower etc, but a little less knowledgeable about that, Lowey knows that area well.
Thanks Chucky. Not sure when I'll be nipping out, but I'll have a look in the area you mention. Merry Christmas and happy riding.
Thanks for that link. Looks like a handy little route. I'll maybe try a mixture of the two. Cheers
